Such a simple concept, yet so true: that which we manifest is before us; we are the creators of our own destiny. Be it through intention or ignorance, our successes and our failures have been brought on by none other than ourselves. Enzo the dog (as retold by Garth Stein)
Today I am excited. I have enjoyed a family Christmas in which I have (almost) switched off from my business, immersed myself in family and allowed myself some time to relax, kick back and play a bit.
I've had a bit of thinking time, and I've done some journalling. Reflection time is always important; looking back on a year (and a decade) has made me realise what can be achieved if you focus. In the last decade I finished a distance-learning degree, completed and passed my PGCE, taught in Zambia for 3 years, moved to Paris, taught in a bilingual school in central Paris; trained for 200 hours as a yoga teacher; moved to Yorkshire; trained as a Reiki Level I and Level II Practitioner; trained as a Sports Massage Therapist; trained as a Guided Meditation Leader; started my own yoga business in dedicated premises; trained as a Pregnancy Yoga teacher.
It's January 2nd and it's time to jump off and into a new decade. My focus this year is on building the yoga studio and sports massage clinic to it's full potential. Additional training and CPD is essential to keep up to date as well as moving forward personally and professionally. I am excited to be starting a Level 4 Sports Massage qualification in January and irons are in the fire to branch out with both the massage and yoga classes in the studio and also in the community.
That which you manifest is before you.
